Great work today members of the Rock-Star Catullus Fan Club! It was quite a rude awakening getting our heads back into that /twisted/ simile!
For Thursday prepare through to l. 142; we may, however, be taking it more slowly, given our pacing and the careful work we're doing through the contorted syntax. Be happy, however...you wouldn't want to be working on this difficult poem close to the AP Exam itself...so there is method in my madness in getting you on it now!
Here's my promise to you: I must coerce Latin I, II and III to 1. pay Latin Club dues and 2. submit t-shirt slogans. I can pass the cup/can/basket and assign the slogan composition as each class' 'incipit'. I'll collect them up til Friday (some kids may come up with more than one).
