This is the space that I use to take notes about what transpires in 5th block; so let's start!
I. Ave! -- Goals for our awesome combination class.
II. Ovid. Heroides VII, Dido Aeneae
A. Listen to the Matteo translation ll. 1-32
B. Character Map/Dido: fleshing her out by her own words
C. The Latin. Translation vs. Reading. We want to read!
III. Exegesis. Discussion and Interpretation. Poetic Figures: foreshadowing, alliteration, high-style vs. low-style diction.
On the Dock for Friday 10 September: AP students, translate Ovid Heroides VII, ll. 1-6. Latin IV, be ready for more fun.
