by ChrisAnn Matteo - Wednesday, September 8, 2010, 01:41 PM

This is the space that I use to take notes about what transpires in 5th block; so let's start!

I. Ave! -- Goals for our awesome combination class.

II. Ovid. Heroides VII, Dido Aeneae

A. Listen to the Matteo translation ll. 1-32

B. Character Map/Dido: fleshing her out by her own words

C. The Latin. Translation vs. Reading. We want to read!

III. Exegesis. Discussion and Interpretation. Poetic Figures: foreshadowing, alliteration, high-style vs. low-style diction.

On the Dock for Friday 10 September: AP students, translate Ovid Heroides VII, ll. 1-6. Latin IV, be ready for more fun.
