Quid Agias? for Monday 2 February 2009 B-Day

Today's seminar: begin work on Catullus 22 (back to lyric!) during our short class session. Finish it up tonight/over the weekend and we'll discuss it Monday.

Additional Translating for Monday (weekend reading): Cat. Carm. 30, 31, 35, 36. We'll review 14 as well in class that day.

Looking ahead for Wednesday and Friday (4 & 6 February, B-Days): Strive to translate 40 (9 ll), 43 (8 ll), 44 (21 ll) and 45 (26 ll). So, if you finish 30-36 over the weekend and can spare the time given the rest of your classes' demands, you can work ahead so that Weds/Fri is prepared.

Let's also devote 10 min or so to discuss Latin Club plans (resume t-shirt slogan project, and determine what to do vis-a-vis Certamina [deep budget cuts affect the whole county, nay the whole country]).

Valetis! Dr. Matteo
